About San Antonio

The architectural design reflects a balanced, modern composition with an architectural language of Bexar County. Sleek clean lines and shade devices incorporate an Evidence-Based Design approach with industry-best architectural practices. This blend creates a building that is balanced between a non-institutional aesthetic and has some unique features of the San Antonio area. This design is symbolic of the patient experience, expressing a welcoming arrival as well as a cornerstone to a healing environment. The appearance lends itself to the healing environment with warm hues, peaceful earth tones and crisp textures. This matches the modern architectural aesthetic of the San Antonio area. Architectural massing is at a human scale, modulated with modern energy-efficient storefront, matching windows, insulated metal panels and stone veneer, made of a local stone, to create a contrasting and layered composition, both appropriate for the San Antonio site and an iconic architectural expression for the San Antonio Veteran Affairs Outpatient Clinic.
