About Arnold Hall

The master planning project consisted of a concept study that culminated in the design of a new covered public garden for Arnold Hall. The proposed winter garden converted an existing unused outdoor space into a vibrant, indoor grand hall with student services surrounding informal seating places with interactivity, trees, and a water feature.

The garden corresponded to the requirements, economics, and mission of Arnold Hall. It fits within the existing “International Style” architecture of the campus and within the guidelines of the U.S. Department of the Interior and the National Registry of Historic Places.
