US Air Force Academy Hospital

Colorado Springs, Colorado

About this Project

Lantz-Boggio Architects renovated a fully operational hospital which included the re-design of circulation both private and public of the cafeteria serving lines. Since the building’s electrical panels needed to be upgraded, coordination between affected areas was crucial to ensure no area of the hospital was down; temporary power was implemented to make this a success. A new computer room was created for the Systems Area, allowing full control to HVAC, emergency, and security off site. Finally, a diesel fuel containment area was created for the existing emergency generator building. The costs associated with this project were paralleled with a given, pre determined budget at $650,000 for an approximate overall square footage of 1,500 SF. The project met time and monetary deadlines. Most importantly, it did not encroach with the daily functions of the hospital.
