About Building 602

This project included selective demolition of exterior walls, a mezzanine, all interiors, mechanical and electrical systems, windows, doors and the entire roof of the existing 71,309 GSF cast-in-place concrete warehouse.

Asbestos, lead and PCB materials were abated, and significant structural repairs were made throughout. The roof system was replaced. AT/FP compliant windows and doors were designed. New interior spaces on two floors, such as offices, restrooms, shower rooms, break rooms, file rooms and a new mechanical mezzanine were created. New plumbing, mechanical, electrical, telecommunication, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems were added; the main Electrical Vault and secure storage were replaced.

The project was designed for a remote atoll in the South Pacific and for a highly corrosive marine environment.
