Located in the Community Center area of the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, the Airman Dining Hall serves as the primary Food Service Facility for the Preparatory School as well as the dining facility of choice for Airmen and Private Party Military Personnel. The Goal of the Airman Dining Hall Renovation is to provide these individuals with commercial quality Food Service equal to the finest facilities in the United States Air Force. This project was awarded the 2005 USAF AFCEE Design Award.

The $5.8m, complete 24,859 GSF “gut & remodel” renovation of the original Skidmore Owings & Merrill-designed facility consisted of three areas of work: Building Improvements; Food Service/Furniture & Accessories; and Site Improvements.
